Stand Up and Speak Out 2007 Has Concluded

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2007 Stand Up and Speak Out against Poverty and Gender Inequality campaign. The 24-hour sign-up period has now concluded.

We are grateful to the 16,517 people who visited this website on World Poverty Day 2007, in a show of solidarity with women affected by and fighting against world poverty. Through this website, 6,887 people signed up and were counted in the new Guinness World Record for the largest number of people to Stand Up against Poverty in 24 hours (more than 43 million people). We also thank the thousands who worked to spread the message of this campaign in different ways.
